Texas native Ron Vercher graduated from the University of Houston, Bates College of Law in 1976, after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University. He began the practice of law as a criminal defense lawyer and was lead counsel in dozens of jury trials during his first few years in practice.

He formed the firm of Murphy, Merrell and Vercher, in 1980 and practiced with the firm until 1996. At the firm he represented plaintiffs and defendants, both individuals and corporations in civil litigation matters including products liability, general negligence, premises liability, wrongful death, deceptive trade practices, insurance company bad faith and business litigation. He has scores of jury trials to his credit.

After taking a one year sabbatical, he became Of Counsel to Celedonia & Klitsas, P.C. in 1998, and subsequently formed, with his partner Loren Klitsas, the firm of Klitsas & Vercher, P.C., in 2000. He is licensed to practice before all Texas state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.

His professional memberships include the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Texas.
